By this point in the academic year, most Year 11 students know the physics theory but lose marks because applying that knowledge clearly in exam questions can be challenging.
This masterclass series focuses on the exam skills that determine grades. Through carefully structured sessions using real GCSE-style questions from AQA and Edexcel, students learn practical strategies for approaching exam questions with clarity and confidence.
• Year 11 students preparing for GCSE Physics examinations.
• Students studying AQA and Edexcel specifications, including both separate Physics and Combined Science courses.
• Students who want to improve their exam technique and maximise marks.
Sessions are taught in small online groups (maximum 8 students) to allow focused teaching and opportunities for questions.
• Students who have not yet covered most of their GCSE Physics course content in school.
• Students who require 1-to-1 support or highly personalised teaching.
• Students looking for a full revision course covering every GCSE topic. The focus of this programme is specifically on exam technique and how to approach the types of questions that most often determine exam performance.
Learn how to structure explanations clearly using the Physics Chain method to maximise marks.
Understand how examiners expect students to describe experiments and use correct scientific terminology.
Develop strategies for interpreting graphs, identifying trends, and analysing experimental data.
Strengthen the key calculation skills required in GCSE Physics and learn how to present answers clearly.
Learn how to structure longer answers and secure marks in high-value questions.
Understand how to write clear, logical experimental methods that match exam mark schemes.
Students enrolled in the course will receive a course booklet containing:
• Key notes from each session
• Worked examples used in the lessons
• Additional GCSE-exam style revision practice questions
• Fully worked answers for independent practice and consolidation
The booklet is designed to reinforce learning during the course and provide useful revision material for the exams.

Is the course suitable for Combined Science students?
Yes. The course is suitable for students studying both separate Physics and Combined Science under the AQA or Edexcel specifications.
